Jewellery Care FAQs

Jewellery Care FAQs

Can I wear handmade jewellery in the shower?

It’s best to remove your jewellery before showering. Water, soap, and shampoo can weaken threads, fade colour, or dull finishes, especially for gold-plated or beaded pieces.

How do I clean gold-plated jewellery?

Use a soft, dry cloth (like a microfibre cloth) to gently polish the surface. Avoid water, jewellery cleaners, or rubbing too hard to preserve the gold plating.

Will my jewellery tarnish over time?

Sterling silver and gold-plated items may naturally tarnish over time when exposed to air, water, and skin oils. Storing them properly and avoiding chemicals helps keep them looking beautiful.

How should I store my handmade jewellery?

Store your jewellery in a soft pouch or box, away from direct sunlight and humidity. Keeping pieces separate helps prevent scratches and tangling.

Do you offer repairs if something breaks?

Yes! I know life happens, and I’m always happy to repair or adjust a piece where possible. Just contact me and we’ll find a way to bring it back to life.
